Bin Laden death recap

Was he unarmed or not? Did he use his wife as a human shield or not? The inquiries about Osama Bin Laden’s death rise as fast as Obama’s support in the US. It has been affirmed by the president’s chief antiterrorism advisor, John O. Brennan that the suspect at hand was unarmed when encountered and shot through the head twice. Some account to the fact that Bin Laden used his wife as a human shield to protect himself from the SEALS’ searing and accurate bullets. Other sources claim that Bin Laden’s wife rushed the navy seals as they were going onto the compounds second floor and that the situation at that time demanded she be shot in the leg and silenced. Mr. Brennan has also revealed that the navy Seals encountered heavy fire on the first floor of the compound, and that Osama Bin Laden had been there when the American units had entered. It is under scrutiny and an inspecting eye, that the interrogators are trying to find out if Bin Laden got any rounds off or not.

Personally, I don’t really believe that Bin Laden’s death is such a big deal. I know the SEALS were under instructions of taking him alive if possible and that circumstances demanded his death, but all this talk about whether he was armed or not isn’t really necessary. I believe that the allied forces should now concentrate in eradicating Al Qaeda and forgetting about Bin Laden’s death.

I believe the 6 navy seals that killed Bin Laden should be awarded a lot more then they are at the moment. The amount of risk that was taken in this operation was astronomical. Sure Obama planned this attack from months ago, but the result of those 6 could have been disastrous if the operation was a fail. What people need to realize is that this world wide threat has now been brought to justice. This is without a doubt a historical day in United States history.
